Psalm 91:14 “Because he hath set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known My name.
Setting your love up on a project gives you the drive to wake up every morning with a burning desire to see it through to the end. Love is the engine in a car, airplane, etc., but what triggers the movement? The mechanisms in the engine are synchronized in love.
It’s possible for our marriage to last to death do us part. You must make up to set your love upon your spouse. Loving your spouse is good, but setting your love upon your spouse is the best. Because when your love is set upon your spouse, nothing matters; thoughts of your spouse become the air you breathe since your lungs and brain need air to live.
It was never in God’s plan for His institution to create confusion and destruction because God is love; he expected us to love our spouse as he loves us. What you value, you don’t let go, nor would you give in to any temptation to distrust the trust of your spouse. David set his love upon the Lord God, not on his strength or previous victory against Goliath. We should be addicted to God's word (Bible), prayer, and meditation. Sometimes I get lost in the thought of heaven. The first time my wife and I vacationed in Miami, our Airbnb location was great. When we drove around, I said to my wife, " Look at how beautiful the place is, day and night, built with corruptible material, with hands full of sin. Can you just imagine what Heaven will look like without corruption? Revelation 21:21 …and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass. There is no street of gold on earth.
