The ant and the eagle are two special creatures clothed with many lessons for the successful living of humans on earth. God the Almighty also testify to this through his wisdom upon King Solomon in the book of Proverbs 30vs24-25, “there be four things which are little upon the earth, but they are exceeding wise: The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their meat in the summer”. Not on this alone, human beings were commanded to go to the Ants to learn their ways. Proverbs 6vs6-7.
As God is speaking to man about the wisdom from the Ants, He is also giving references to the bird called the Eagle; if you want to go far in life, you need to learn a lesson from the eagle also. Deuteronomy 32vs11. This passage talks about how the Lord led the children of Israel just as an eagle would do. There are great lessons that you are expected to learn from an eagle if you want to succeed in the journey of purpose in this life.
LESSONS TO LEARN FROM AN EAGLE
1. Eagles fly alone and at high altitudes:
You must understand that this life journey is a personal one. Just as an eagle will not fly with sparrows, ravens, and other small birds, you need to be conscious and intentional about the company you are keeping and moving with. You need to stay away from narrow-minded people, those that bring you down. Eagle flies with eagles. Keep good company; stay off from the company of fools. Proverbs 29vs3, Proverbs 5vs8-10.
2. Accurate vision:
The Eagle has accurate vision, no matter the obstacles, it will not move its focus from the prey until it grabs it; the eagle can focus on something as far as 5km away. As a child of God, it is not enough for you to have a vision, you must remain focused on your vision no matter what the obstacles are saying, and you will succeed.
Joseph in the Bible had a dream (vision) Genesis 37vs5-11, and he remained focused on achieving the dream even when many distractions (obstacles) Genesis 37vs19-28, and Genesis 39vs4-20, were thrown at him; he remained focus and he achieved his dream. Genesis 41vs37-46, Genesis 42vs1-15.
There is nothing you cannot achieve if you are focused; many are people with great vision, but few are the people who have focused on achieving their birth dreams. As a young adult and youth, if you must be successful in life, having dreams (visions) is not enough, you must have focus because outside there are many distractions to take you away from your vision.
3. Eagles will not eat dead meat:
One of the great lifestyles of an eagle is that it will not eat dead things; eagles always feed only on fresh prey. When you rely so much on your past achievements, you will not be able to set new goals for your future. Leave your past where it belongs, in the past; keep looking for new land to conquer. Do not rely on your past success, it can be dangerous. Your yesterday strength is not enough for your future challenges, make use of your today to gather more strength by planning for your tomorrow by having a template for achieving your tomorrow-set goals; write it down so that you can run with it. Habakkuk 2vs1-3.
