LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE

Jesus Christ, our Savior, has called you to be the light that will illuminate the world; He called you light, which is why He transported you out of darkness into the kingdom of light. He paid the price on the cross of Calvary in order for you to rule and shine in your world. In the book of Matthew 5vs14-16, he said, “You are the light of the world, like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one light a lamp and then put it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly father” (NLT Version).

You are a follower of Jesus Christ, and as a youth and young adult, you are the one Our Lord is referring to as the light. Inasmuch as our God is light, you too have to operate as light in all your endeavors, you have to show the world that you carry something that is urgently needed because you have been equated to a light, and no one light a candle and put it under the table. You have to be a perfect example and a perfect Ambassador of the Lord Jesus Christ to your world. John 8vs12.

As a light (A Christian youth or young adult), you are to ignite your world with the word of truth and justice. You are to be a representative of truth in your career and profession; Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life; and as an Ambassador of the truth, one of the things that is expected of you is to ignite your generation with the truth (Jesus) in whatever you are doing. As a student, Doctor, Lawyer, and Engineer, the truth must be your anchor because that is when it can be said of you that your light is illuminating your world.

You have been called a light, and another attribute of light is to give clarity. Proverbs 4vs18 says, “The way of the just (righteous) is as the shining light that shineth more and more unto the perfect day”. You are the righteousness of God; you are to give clarity to your generation, it is expected of you to load your world with the wisdom of God, which is Jesus Christ. This generation is in a state of confusion. Your assignment is to give the world (your generation) clarity of purpose because you are a light, and you have had an encounter with the greater dimension of light, which is Jesus Christ. That is the reason you are to draw your generation into this realm of clarity.

Do you know that, as you shine as light, your assignment is to also give life to people around you? When you light up, you give life. You do not need to run away from darkness because the ticker the darkness, the brighter your shine will be. Many youths are dying in sin, masturbation, yahoo-yahoo  (Internet scamming), drugs, etc, your assignment is to show them the way to a new life in Christ Jesus. You are not called to light up yourself; you are called to light up your world. Just as Jacob lit up Israel. Isaiah 9vs8

Isaiah 60vs1-2 shouted, Arise, Shine … please stand up from your sleeping state, because the devil is already doing great havoc in your generation. Many things were considered abornomal before now, your generation has made it normal. Laing, which was counted as an abnormal thing, has been counted to be a business strategy. Darkness is not to be a threat to your light, but an opportunity for you to shine brighter to reveal and unveil everything that darkness has covered. You are to bring down the wall of Jericho, the wall of unrighteousness that the system of this world and the devil are building. John 8vs12.

Fear and crisis have been the order of the day in our world; you are to be the anchor of peace. One of the works of light is to give peace; you are to be a peacemaker; all your doing as a child of God must reflect peace. When you stand up to all these responsibilities, there are benefits that you will enjoy as a light bearer.
