LIKE OTHER NATIONS

1Samuel 8:20 (NIV) - Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.

EXPOSITION:

The children of Israel rejected Samuel's sons - Joel and Abijah to be judge over them because they were not upright as their father. They found faults in God's leadership pattern and they requested for a human king like other nations forgetting they are God owned nation.

The moment you dedicate your life to Jesus Christ, you already switch camp and from that point you belong to God. You are no more expected to submit and be led by the desires of the flesh like the people of the world but rather by God through his Spirit. This is our greatest advantage.

COVENANT PRAYERS

1.  Father Lord, I renounce and reject every fleshly desire that opposes God's intentions for my life in Jesus name.

2.  Oh Lord, help me to have faith and total dependence in you, in Jesus name.

3.  Oh Lord, give me courage where others are discouraged in Jesus name.

4.  And I decree and speak against powers that want to manipulate you in anyway against God's purpose in Jesus name.
