IF THOU WILT BE PERFECT!

Mathew 19:21 - Jesus said unto him, IF THOU WILT BE PERFECT, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shall have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.

EXPOSITION

The young rich man was meticulous to keep the Law of Moses from childhood and also had a great possessions (vs 22) but yet felt an emptiness. Then, he asked Jesus, "What lack I yet?" Amazingly, Jesus' response was; "if thou wilt be perfect:" which means one can keep the law - coming to church, give offering, tithe, etc; and yet not be perfect!*

Jesus gave two recommendations to this young man, give to the poor and to follow him. Peradventure you also need to ask God, "What good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?" (vs 18).

 Hear this! Eternal life is a realm of perfection where both God and men found no error in you.

COVENANT PRAYERS

1. My Father my Father, I receive Grace to do God's bidding and to follow him till the end in Jesus name.

2.  My Father my Father, I receive ability to sacrifice all to follow you in Jesus name

3.  Oh Lord I will not be obsessed with the world to abandon you in Jesus name.
