THEN MOSES LED ISRAEL
Exodus 15:22 (KJV) - So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
EXPOSITION
The Israelites came out of Egypt and passed through the Red Sea on dry ground by the mighty hand and leading of God. It was God who led them all the way and gave them victory over Pharaoh and his army. However, immediately after that great triumph, the Scripture says, "So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea…" Their journey soon led them to Marah, a place of bitterness and disappointment.
This teaches us a profound lesson: the best of human wisdom, strength, or leadership is limited. Man can only lead to the wilderness of Shur, where trials, bitterness, sorrow, regrets, and losses may await. Therefore, after every victory and breakthrough, we must not become self-dependent or rely solely on human direction. Instead, we must continually seek God's face and follow His leading until He safely brings us to our eternal home. Only God's guidance guarantees a glorious end.
COVENANT PRAYERS
- Receive grace to always seek the face of the Lord in all things in Jesus name.
- May every pride and ego in you die by fire in Jesus name.
- I ask the Lord to give you a new heart to be steadfast in commitment to Him in Jesus name
Thank you Jesus.
Your time is now.
Good morning.
