text to speech
FINISH WELL AND STRONG
Acts 20:24 (KJV) - But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
EXPOSITION
Like Apostle Paul, we must understand that the different phases of life we pass through and the achievements we attain can never be more important than pleasing the Lord Jesus Christ, who has called us for a divine purpose. Life is not merely about reaching milestones; it is about faithfully fulfilling Heaven’s assignment.
Apostle Paul made it clear that while fulfilling destiny was important, finishing the ministry, (the assignment entrusted to him by God) was equally essential. He understood that success in life is incomplete without obedience to God’s purpose.
In the same way, while it is important to live, study, experience breakthroughs, get married, raise a family, and achieve life goals, it is even more important to discover, pursue, and complete the divine assignment God has commissioned you to fulfill. For what is the value of a fulfilled destiny but an unfinished divine mandate?
Do not live a wasteful life. Live intentionally. Live purposefully. Seek not only to succeed before men, but to finish well before God. At the end of your journey, may it be said that you fulfilled both your destiny and your assignment. This is when heaven will say you have finished well and strong.
