Your obedience to divine instructions is also important in your preparation for the divine moment of God. John 2:5 says, “His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it”. The moment of God often comes with simple yet demanding instructions, and your obedience to them will unlock your manifestation. Partial obedience delays fulfillment; your miracle is in the instruction you obey. Your obedience will take you to another (Next) class in the school of the spirit.1 Samuel 15:22.
Waiting is not wasting; it is training. That is why patience and steadfast waiting are required in your preparation for the moment of God. Habakkuk 2:3. In your moment of waiting, God works on you while you wait on him to work for you. Do not forget that impatience produces Ishmaels, while waiting produces Isaacs. Wait patiently for your set time. Isaiah 40:31.
Another thing you need is discernment of time and seasons. You have to be like the children of Issachar, who were men with understanding of time and seasons, to know what to do at each time and season.1 Chronicles 12:32. God’s moment is seasonal; what worked yesterday may not work today. Discernment will help you to know what to do, and it will help you and keep you from fighting the wrong battle in the right season. Discernment will aid you in knowing when to speak and when not to. It will help you to do the right thing at the right time—Matthew 16:3.
CONCLUSION: The story of the ten virgins in Matthew 25:1-13 gives us a clearer picture of the danger of unpreparedness. The ten virgins had the same call, the same opportunity, but they had different preparations; the five who were prepared got their divine moment with God, while the remaining five missed their divine visitation because of a lack of preparation. Delay exposed who was truly ready, but the tragedy is not delay, it is their unpreparedness.
The moment of God is certain, but preparation is personal. God is always on time, but He responds to those who are ready. The question is not whether God will move, but whether you will be prepared when he does. Your preparation as a child of God should not be only for your time of miracle or divine visitation; you must always prepare for the second coming of Jesus Christ as a Christian. Jesus is coming back soon. How prepared are you? Revelation 22:12.
