Give yourself the right packaging There is a need for you to wear the right outlook always. Many had gone to the market to purchase a product they did not need, but because of the packaging, they bought such a product. David had to package himself well even when everybody was against him in going against Goliath. 1 Samuel 17vs34-37. Packaging has to do with your presentations, you can have the right product, but when you have the wrong presentations, the right people will not buy your product. David penetrated the heart of King Saul with the right presentation. Your presentation, that is, your choice of words goes a long way to determine whether people will run with your vision or not. You must always have the right word at the right moment. Another thing that has to do with the right packaging is your look. You have to bear in mind that the way you look will determine the way you will be addressed. If a king should dress like a beggar, he will be addressed like one and not as king, if he is not known in that environment. Your outlook can open doors for you when other keys fail. We have seen situations where just the way some people dressed had opened doors of opportunities for them. Your look can make way for you to eat with kings and not with ordinary men. Genesis 41vs9-14. The way you walk and carry yourself is also part of your packaging. There is this saying in my mother's tongue, “Big clothes do not make you a big man”. You may put on the most expensive clothes, but if you do not know how to carry yourself well, nobody will take you seriously. A slave can be addressed like a king if he or she knows how to package and carry him or herself well. If you must be great, you must work on your packaging; dress nice and presentable always. Be Professional in what you do This can be achieved when you give yourself out to studying and learning. Whatever your hand finds doing, do it well. Study, to know what you are doing in and out. Learn to invest in knowledge; Daniel was outstanding in his generation because he gave himself to knowledge. Daniel 1vs3-5, Daniel 1vs16-21. The wealth of knowledge you possess will make you to be outstanding and remain relevant among your contemporaries just like Daniel was among his peers. You also can be different when you give yourself to wisdom and knowledge. 2 Timothy 2vs15 says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. Knowledge will give you room at the table of the King; the hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute. Proverbs 12vs24. Being professional is being diligent in whatever you are doing. The book of Proverbs 13 vs4 says, “The soul of the sluggard desireth, and hath nothing, but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat”. If you want to be among the kings and not mean men, you have to study to show yourself approved and be diligent in your dealings. Proverbs 22vs29. Try and know something about everything, but do not be a jack of all trades, master of none. Be a master in something. When you study, it means you are standing on the shoulders of people who are ahead of you to see beyond what they are seeing or have seen. Conclusion: It is not enough for you to have a vision or to have identified your purpose in life, you must work on yourself for you to achieve such purpose. The graveyards are full of people who had great visions, dreams, and purposes for their lives, but they could not achieve their dreams and purpose because they refused to work on themselves. Moses spent forty years in the palace to learn the heart and act of leadership, he also spent another forty years helping his father-in-law to take care of his sheep through which he developed the heart and act of meekness. You need to work on your personality if you must go far and be great in life. Ultimately, it is the blessing of the Lord that makes one rich (wealthy) without adding sorrow to it. Proverbs 10vs22. If you want to be great in life, you need Jesus Christ in your life, you need him in the boat of your life, and you need him to be the captain of your heart. It is when you have surrendered the boat of your heart to him that you can begin to enjoy true greatness. Jesus is the only one who has the manual to your purpose, and to gain access to the manual, you must gain Jesus Christ; you have to be recognized with him (Jesus). Come to Jesus Christ, surrender your life to him, and there will be no limit to your greatness.
