KEY PRINCIPLES TO FOLLOW TO ACCESS THE GATE (GOD’S PRESENCE)
- TRUST GOD: Trusting God has to do with having faith in God. It means believing in His promises, trusting His faithfulness, and believing that He will open doors for His purpose in your life. For instance, Daniel, in the book of Daniel 6vs10-27, continued to pray despite the decree against it. He demonstrated his faith and trust in God’s ability to protect and guide him.
- PRAYER: Prayer is an act of communicating with God. Regular and sincere communication with God is essential to access the spiritual gateway. This will grant you access to coded information from the throne of God. In the teaching of Jesus in the book of Matthew 7vs7, He emphasized the importance of prayer. If you must be operating in a realm that is beyond human understanding as a youth, you need to be soaking yourself in prayer.
- REPENTANCE AND PURITY HEAR: One unique thing about David in the Bible is his repentance and pure heart towards God and men. David had the key to access God’s Presence all the time because he was full of repentance. Repentance cleanses the heart, making one worthy to approach God’s Presence (Gate). For instance, David's repentance after his sin with Bathsheba opened the way for God’s gate of mercy for him. Psalms 51vs10. If you must enjoy God’s Presence, you must have a pure heart and a repentance heart. Psalms 24vs4.
- OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD AND INSTRUCTIONS: A man who is living according to the scripture is a man who will possess gates. When you follow God’s commandments and align your life with his instructions, the doors of the spiritual depth of God will open unto you. For instance, shouting when you are in a war zone with your enemies looks stupid; but Joshua followed that instruction from God, and it led to the miraculous falling of the wall of Jericho that we are talking about today. To access the gates of the miraculous as a child of God, you must be ready to obey instructions from God.
- HOLINESS: When you act justly and with loving mercy, it implies that you are living righteous. Living a righteous life, characterized by justice and mercy will align your life with God’s values. Micah 6vs8. Living holy and righteously is a requirement that you must fulfill if you must access that gate of God’s Presence.
- ACT OF WORSHIP AND PRAISE: Worship opens the heart of God and invites His Presence. Psalms 22vs3. When you always express gratitude and adoration unto God, you will gain access into the heart of God. 1 Samuel 13vs14. David was called a man after God’s heart because he was a man who is praiseful (Full of Praise of God). Psalms 100vs4.
Conclusion: Matthew 6vs33 says we should seek first the kingdom of God. To access that gate of the presence of God, you must always prioritize spiritual things (The things of God) over material things.
Focusing on God’s kingdom ensures that your actions and priorities align with God’s will for your life and destiny. As a youth, God has deposited a lot into you in creation, and He wants you to be a faithful steward; because your faithfulness to God is another principle that God demands from you. Using your God-given gifts wisely and managing the resources that He has given you faithfully demonstrates trust in God and opens doors for further blessings. Matthew 25vs21. Stand up and possess the gate of God’s Presence now because it is your inheritance.
