Life has a way of presenting us with challenges that feel insurmountable — broken relationships, financial hardship, sickness, grief, and seasons of uncertainty that seem to have no end. In those moments, it can be easy to feel abandoned, forgotten, or overwhelmed. Yet the consistent message woven throughout Scripture is one of unwavering hope: God will fix it. Not maybe. Not eventually, if we’re lucky. But certainly, faithfully, and completely — in His perfect time and according to His perfect will.
He Sees What You’re Going Through
Before God fixes anything, He sees everything. The story of Hagar in Genesis 16 is a powerful reminder of this truth. Cast out and alone in the wilderness, Hagar cried out, and God met her there. She called Him “El Roi” — the God who sees (Genesis 16:13). Whatever you are facing today, nothing escapes His sight. Psalm 34:18 affirms this: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” You are not invisible to God. Your pain is not hidden from Him.
He Has the Power to Restore
God is not limited by the same constraints that limit us. What appears broken beyond repair to human eyes is well within His ability to restore. Jeremiah 32:27 declares, “I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?” The answer, of course, is no. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and turned mourning into dancing for David is the same God who stands ready to move in your situation. Joel 2:25 carries a remarkable promise: “I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.” God is not only able to fix what is broken — He is able to restore what was lost.
Trust the Process
One of the hardest parts of waiting on God is trusting that His timing is not a delay but a design. Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” This does not mean every circumstance feels good — it means God is working through every circumstance for your ultimate good. Isaiah 40:31 encourages those who wait: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Waiting on God is never wasted time.
He Will Complete What He Started
Perhaps the most reassuring promise for those who feel like their story is falling apart is found in Philippians 1:6: “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” God does not start something and abandon it. He is a finisher. He is faithful to His word and faithful to His people. Lamentations 3:22–23 reminds us, “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Conclusion
Whatever you are trusting God to fix — your health, your family, your finances, and your heart— hold on. Cast your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Speak to your mountain, because Jesus said faith can move it (Matthew 17:20). God has not forgotten you. He is working behind the scenes, arranging things you cannot yet see. He fixed it before, and He will fix it again. His track record is perfect, and His love for you is unfailing.
