There are various ways through which you can discover your vision. In other words, many elements can gear up a vision in you. Some of these elements will be discussed, but you must know that as the vision springs out from your mind (Isaiah 30 vs 21), you must write them down. Put it in document form, because a good vision always outlives the owner; also, vision always has an appointed time just as Habakkuk 2vs3 says.

 The First element is Passion

Your passion is what you so much have an interest in doing. Passion is a drive that pushes you into doing something. Through passion, vision will emerge. If you read the story of the man called Nehemiah in the Bible, he had a passion to build the wall, even when Samballat and Tobiah stood in opposition, his passion did not allow him to let down the vision of building. Because of his passion, he sought for permission and resources to build the wall. He was not commissioned by anyone to do it, but his passion gave birth to his vision to build. For better understanding, you can study Nehemiah from chapter one to chapter six.

Your Environment or Situation Around You

Happenings in your environment or life can birth a vision. The incident in Egypt made Moses step into a leadership role even when he did not had the ordination from God. Exodus 2vs11-14. The happening in the third chapter of Exodus also gave more light into the vision of Moses. Exodus 3vs3-16.

 The Voice of God

The inner voice, the breath of God in you is another thing that can gear up a vision in you. As a child of God, that is why you must always put your ears to the chest of God for you to hear his heartbeat. Isaiah 30vs21. When you give your ears to hear God, it will be easy for you to quickly identify your vision (purpose) for life.

 Your Dream

Your dream is a powerful tool that God has given to you to fulfill purpose in life. That is why it’s not always good to forget dreams. Joe 2vs28. Your dream is powerful, through it; you can get the vision for your life.

Joseph got the vision for his living through dreams; he became solution to problems through his dreams. God can relate your vision of life to you through your dreams; that is why you must never joke with your dreams. Genesis 37vs5-11.

CONCLUSION: You need to understand that there are things that kill vision. These are the things you have to stay with so as to realize your vision(s).

Many are overwhelmed with social media, watching football, sleeping, etc., and all these are vision killer if they are not well managed. Distractions are also vision killers; this is the more reason you have to write out your vision because if you do not do that, you can be distracted. You can be focusing on the minor instead of the major. Know this, before you engage yourself in any action or activity at all, you must ask yourself, what am I going to achieve from this activity? What is the end-gain? If your answers to these questions are not aligned with achieving your vision, they are just distractions that you need to discard. Never waste your time on unproductive act because time is a gift.
