SHINE BEFORE OTHERS

Matthew 5:16 – In the same way, let your light SHINE BEFORE OTHERS, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven.

EXPOSITION

Just as Jesus is the light of the world, we are called to shine before others. However unfortunately, all we do is to show-off like the people of the world and not as Jesus the LIGHT of the world.

To shine is not just to look or dress better than others neither is it to live in a mansion nor drive a better car, It's not just to be ahead of others but rather it is all about your impacts on others.

Shine before others through your good works which include love, kindness, support - without people having to beg you. Finally, to shine before others means; after the good works, no man is clapping for you but to God your father. Until men see your good works and praise God and not you, your work is a mere show-off. Therefore, in 2026 go and shine forth, and not show-off.

COVENANT PRAYERS

1.  Father, please help me to impact my generation expecting no applause in the name of Jesus.

2.  Father, give me more grace to walk closely with you in Jesus name.

3.  Oh Lord, the light of my good works especially in your vineyard will shine brighter in Jesus name.
