HANNAH HAD NO CHILDREN

1 Samuel 1:2 - ‎And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but HANNAH HAD NO CHILDREN.

EXPOSITION

The irony of life can be so overwhelming that we sometimes begin to question why bad things happen to good people. Such was the story of Hannah — the beloved and favored wife who had no child — while Peninnah, the other wife, had children.

At times, it is difficult to understand why the righteous experience delays, lack, or seasons of waiting. Yet, we must never doubt God’s awareness of our situation. Heaven is never ignorant of the pains of the faithful.

So the common question remains: Why do the faithful suffer delay and seem denied of their rights, while the wicked appear to prosper and the righteous suffer?

Here is the comforting truth: in God’s eyes, time does not exist the way men perceive it. What men call delay, God often calls preparation. While we are waiting, God is working out something far greater than we can imagine.

Hannah eventually gave birth to Samuel — not just a son, but a prophet over Israel. Joseph became a favored ruler because of the delay and reproach his mother once endured. God has a way of turning seasons of pain into testimonies of glory.

Therefore, no matter what your present situation may be, do not lose hope. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing. In the end, you will laugh last, and your testimony will speak louder than your trials.

COVENANT PRAYERS

1.  May the Lord, answer your prayers and silence your oppressors in Jesus name.

2.  May your testimony draw men to Jesus Christ.

3.  The God who answered Hannah and comforted her with a prophet will show forth for you in Jesus name.

4.  Your testimony will not be aborted in Jesus name.
