THE WINNING STRATEGY

One wonderful thing about everything in this world is, everything has a method or strategy that has to be followed in order to achieve what has to be achieved. If you want to be a nurse or doctor, there are methods, there are things that need to be strategically put in place before such a dream of becoming a doctor or nurse can come to pass. 

What am saying in essence is that, if you must win in the journey of life, if you must achieve your purpose and goals in life, there are methods that you have to follow. Also, there are strategies that you have to adopt if you must outshine your equals and overtake your superiors; be it physical or spiritual, there are strategies or methods for every purpose and if the right strategy is not adopted, you will not get the right answer for your purpose. 

WHAT ARE THE WINNING STRATEGIES?

1. TRUTH

True winners are always true to themselves and to the people around them. They are truthful in their business, they are not in the group of people that hold the belief that you cannot be successful in business or in anything if you do not lie. They are not among the school of thought that believes lying is part of business strategies; true winners are truthful in all things, they always come plain. Their heart is full of truth. 1 Samuel 12vs24. They work in truth and that is why they always win. 1 Kings 2vs4. 

Winners adopted truth as one of their winning strategies because truth has always been a cover for them in times of trouble or evil. Psalm 91vs4, Proverbs 3vs3-4, Proverbs 20vs28. Truth as a strategy helps the winners to be established not for a moment but forever. Proverbs 12vs19. If you must be a winner or victorious, and be successful in career, spiritual and otherwise, you have to be truthful both in heart and in act. The testimonies of people about winners are true because their records are full of truth. 3 John 1vs11-12. 

Truth is a strategy that needs to be adopted if you must win and fulfill your purpose as a youth that believes in God, your mouth and deeds must be full of the truth; let truth be your guide because it is a winning strategy.

2. BE SKILLFUL

Being skillful is a strategy that always gives winners the edge ahead of the losers. Proverbs 22vs29. Whatever you think you know or that you are doing, you must know it in and out; you have to be the best among the best. Joseph in the Bible was the best when Pharaoh brought all his magicians and all the wise men out (Genesis 41vs8-9). Joseph outshined them all because he is skillful in interpreting dreams and he knows how to connect with God who is the giver of all skills. Genesis 41vs15-16, Genesis 41vs18-42. 

Whatever you are learning to do or to become as a youth, do not learn it halfway; that career you are going into, ensures you have an in-depth understanding and knowledge about it because being skillful in whatever you are doing is what will give you an edge over others in that line of business; and it is a winning strategy that hasn’t disappoint the winners. Even the bible also testifies to it according to the book of Proverbs 22vs29, in easy to read version “A worker with special skills may work for a king. He will no longer have to work for ordinary people”. The Passion Translation version of the same Bible passage says - “If you are uniquely gifted in your work, you will rise and be promoted. You won't be held back - you'll stand before Kings”. Being skillful is a winning strategy that you cannot do without if you want to be successful in life as a youth and as a child of God.

3. NOT GIVING UP

Winners will never quit even when they have not gotten the expected result. They may fail to try to do the same thing many times but they believe that the more they failed the more they learned better ways to do what they are doing. Albert Einstein said he had learned 1001 ways in which he cannot build a bulb and disperse many times of failure, he did not give up.  

Do not give up on your visions and do not be tired of your goals; not giving up is a strategy that you have to embrace if you want to be called a winner. It is a winning strategy that every winner always reminded themselves of, and if you must reach your goals in life, you must not give up in the face of challenges because challenges and difficult times will come but when you take your stand as they come, that is when you can win as a child of God and as Youths. Proverbs 24vs10, Galatians 6vs9. You have to overcome all the fear of failure because the word of God says fear not. Jeremiah 46vs27. You have to be steadfast and unmovable in the face of challenges. 1Corinthian 15vs58.

4. PUTTING GOD FIRST

Another strategy that true winners always fly with is, they always put God first in all their doing. Joseph said to the wife of his master - “how should I do this and sin against God? Genesis 39vs5-9. Every true winner that has forever maintained his or her championship belt has always made this word their watchword “God First” in all they do, God has always been the first. Daniel 3vs13-18. 

True winners will not joke with instructions given by God, they put God first in all their dealings and that is why they keep excelling in all their ways. Putting God first is a winning strategy that must not be thrown away.

5. PRAYER

This is a strategy that oftentimes you will not see great winners showing to people. True winners pray about all things, either big or small. This is because they understand that the spiritual controls the physical and the only true way to enter into the spiritual in order to get control of the physical is through prayers. Philippians 4vs6, Ephesians 6vs18. True winners believe so much in prayers. 1 Thessalonians 5vs17. They do it without getting tired of it because it is a winning strategy. They do not usually make noise in the open because they have settled everything you are seeing in the open place of prayer (called the secret place). Whatever you see that is working for them is a result of their quality time in the place of prayer. Prayer is a strategy, and if you must win and achieve your purpose and goals in life, you must be a prayer champion because prayer gives you access to connect to God in order to get the power and ability to rule your world.  

CONCLUSION: Do you know that the greatest strategy of all is to have Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour? There is no strategy that is above the name of Jesus Christ; where all other winning strategies will fail, the name of Jesus Christ is ever sure and ever potent. Philippians 2vs9-10. Simon Peter who later became an Apostle of Jesus Christ did all he knew as a professional fisherman and yet he failed, when he surrendered to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, not only that he got a multitude of fish (Luke 5vs1-9) but he became a great Fisher of men (Acts 2vs36-42). 

The life of Simon Peter was meaningless before he met with Jesus Christ but immediately after he surrendered to Jesus Christ, his life became impactful and purposeful. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, you are still wasting your time because there is no true and lasting victory without Jesus. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life (John 14vs6), if you have to be among the true winners, you have to follow the One (Jesus) who knows the way because he is the way Himself. God loves you, he wants you to achieve purpose and be somebody in life, the only thing he requires from you is to give your soul to Him through His son Jesus Christ. When you confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour, it means you are now operating with the greatest winning strategy. Jesus loves you.
