Focus On Your Little

When the little you possess is well appreciated, it will soon become great. Nobody starts his or her journey to greatness being great, they all started little by little. We have seven billion, two hundred million people today constituting the world population, but God started with just a family. The Church started from a remote place in Jerusalem and today it is all over the cities and Nations. God designed this principle of focusing on the little because in it lies the potential of multiplicity.

This reminds me of the little Boy in John 6:9. Jesus Christ holds a conference and every one of His disciples were no longer confident because they were afraid of how to feed the multitude. Phillip knows that in the ministry’s account, they don’t have the money to take care of this need,

Phillip answered Him, “Eight months’ wages would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite.” John 6:7 NIV.

They don’t have much money, he even said that if they do, it will not be sufficient for each person to bite from whatsoever they purchase. Phillip was so sure of what he was explaining to the Master.  Jesus however was not moved because He believe that little is enough and that is what God expects from us.

Some people can never start a business with the little given unto them, more so the little cannot meet their needs. You don’t need to have all the money or all the things that you need to start, all you need is to pay attention to that seeming little idea.

The Bible says in verse 9 of the above scripture;

“There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?”

Do you have the leading to release your car for the course of the gospel? Why not yield to the leading and give it for the master’s use? God is able to make you lack nothing good. You and I might not often need to give everything as seed to the kingdom’s work, we can lend it to the course. Peter gave his boat to the Lord to make use of it as a podium. After Christ finished making use of it, Peter received a miracle as his reward (Luke 5:1-8). You cannot get more than what you have if you don’t see beyond what you have. Every of our possession comes from Him, and until we begin to approach things like a little child we will not maximize them. How does a little child take things? He or she puts more trust in her parents. When we were in the womb we depended on our mother for survival, also in the kingdom of our Father, He wants us to continue to depend on Him.

Your little will enrich the kingdom. Twenty loaves of barley bread were brought to Elisha and his men were a hundred, he instructed his servants to set the table before them. How shall I set this stuff before one hundred men, because the supernatural law of multiplication is available and there shall be leftover. Remember it was twenty loaves of barley bread, get this clear in this kingdom -  there is no word like lack when God reveals a need to you, it means He wants to bless you. You will be surprised how your investment in the kingdom of God shall transform your generations.

Bible says;

 “Then a man came from Baal Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, "Give it to the people, that they may eat. But his servant said, "What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?" He said again, "Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the LORD: 'They shall eat and have some leftover. So he set it before them; and they ate and had some leftover, according to the word of the LORD.”   2 King 4:42-44 KJV.

Master didn’t hesitate, Jesus told the disciples to make the crowd sit down. This little boy was so faithful to the ministry to give up his lunch. The boy might have said to himself, although I have five loaves of bread and two fishes given to me by my mother. I don’t think it will be enough for me to talk less of all of us. Jesus also was replying to the boy’s thoughts. Don’t worry boy, it will be enough for us and you will still have left over. People that ate from that small food were five thousand men excluding women and children and some Bible scholars said that if it were to include women and children they should be about thirty-two thousand.

Whatever it is that God has given to us that we have been despising, there lies Joy and greatness, I remember when I came back from Seychelles, Pastor Rotimi said to me, go to Liberia I said for what? He said to just give it a trial. That nation was just fifteen years free from the senseless war that was ravaging her, but to my surprise, after forty-eight hours of my arrival, I met the woman I married today.

The disciples picked twelve baskets full of leftovers and broken pieces.

You have all you need to get to your peak in life if only you will embrace it. It is written;

“Much food is in the fallow ground of the poor...” Proverb 13:23.

“He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread, but he who follows frivolity is devoid of understanding.” Proverbs 12:11.

“He who tills his land will have plenty of bread, but he who follows frivolity will have poverty enough.” Proverbs 28:19.

 LIFE IS IN STAGES, YOU MUST LEARN TO START SMALL TO GET GREAT.
