,In getting there from here, you must be courageous. Every person of courage is a potential leader. There is no other option to succeed on this battlefield than to be courageous and you will never attain your full manifestation whenever you disconnect from the custodian of courage (God). However, some still believe there is a replacement for divinity. This marks the beginning of failure and sorrow.

I trust you’ve heard of some wealthy people who commit suicide. This happens because it takes great courage to stay alive. If fame and riches give courage, none of our multibillionaires should die in that case. I know you have great expectations, but rather than getting obsessed with the expectations, you should get hooked up with the source of your expectations.

This book is speaking to you and me. Moses delayed before getting down from the mountain and the people of Israel had turned their trust and courage to the Lord, they quickly sourced for visible gods who will lead them to the Promised Land! “Several of us so much build our courage around people”, when predicaments befall them, we get overwhelmed with fear and the thought that “all is gone” rather than look up to Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Don’t ever give in to fear, Nigeria would have been a better nation by now if only we stood against corruption. No one wants to be part of the fight yet every one of us awaits the benefit of a transformed nation. You can say no to that individual who said without him, you’re nobody. In Nigeria, whenever you’re outspoken against any misdeed, you’re tagged arrogant. We’re such good and great people but we address things with the opposite approach. Quietness has been replaced by respect. We all claim to be quiet and this has resulted in making little or none get to their destination earlier than thought.

THE LAND IS BEFORE YOU

Joshua had a divine assignment: to bring the children of Israel to their Promised Land. Moses instructed him and gave him the blueprint. He Laid hands on him and the spirit of wisdom rested on him for the great assignment. Joshua wasn’t able to move the great people to the next phase of their destiny. Let’s see how the Lord spoke to him;

“Now after the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass, that the Lord spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying, Moses, my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all these people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.” Joshua 1:1-2KJV

From the above word; ‘now therefore arise’, what could he have been doing since? Maybe sitting, complaining to the Lord to bring back Moses, Perhaps he was contented with the present side of Jordan and doesn’t see the importance of crossing to the other side. Sometimes we find ourselves saddled with a great assignment than our strength could carry. Instead of us lifting up our voices to heaven for divine help, we choose to dwell more on the negative approach.

Stop shifting blames on your spouse or parents. Now therefore arise, go ahead to possess the land. Every career you are inspired to pursue is the land before you. Enough of years of planning, now is the right time to start your journey to possess it. There is no possession without opposition and no height without stagnation but the strength of courage will give us victory overall.

The phrase; “Therefore arise” can also mean; “I am the Lord God, I will restore all the years wasted in this season”. Because depression can set in when the past failure is replayed in our present plans. Fear doesn’t understand nor have any idea of your future plans but it is fully aware of your past. For us not to get to our future, fear connects us to previous experiences. We may never succeed, however, a courageous person will try again until he hears the sound of success.

There is a great opportunity before you, you will only get there from this stage if you principally understand how to achieve your purpose alone. In my little walk with God, I understand as a person that whenever He instructs me to carry out an assignment, the moment I take a step on it, I believe I will succeed but those I share it with make it impossible to apply the positive approach let alone to even start.

I am not saying we shouldn’t share our divine vision but first put your vision into motion. Nehemiah after the approval of his meditation by the king:

12 And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon.

13 And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire.

14 Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king's pool: but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass.

15 Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned.

16 And the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work. Neh 2:12-16 KJV

Excitement has hindered several people from possessing the Land that is before them. Nehemiah wasn’t excited, he was passionate to give expression to the inner voice within him. Passion will always tell us we will be better and go further even in the face of trials and pains. For a passionate person, pain becomes gain when he or she refuses to be stopped.

STAND AGAINST FEAR

Almost four times God said to Joshua; “be courageous”. In other words, you must stand against fear. It is fear telling you that your spouse is not faithful to your marriage, speak by saying; “get thee behind me”! I have married a faithful spouse to God and also to our marriage! No matter how often you hear such a voice, you stand against it in Jesus name.

Whatsoever you permit stays permanently. Since the day I discovered Job 3:25, God has not given us the spirit of fear and since He hasn’t, we should kick it out before it misdirects our focus to impossibilities instead of possibilities. Our son Jedidiah experienced late speech, He began to speak at the age of three. Some other times, my wife will be worried about it so I always tell her the boy will speak because he is going to be a great man of God. Also, God will perfect all that concerns him. I so much trust in the Lord rather than entertaining fear.

It is fear telling you that you will die via that sickness, just speak back: “I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord”. Also, “I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living”. When you’re loaded with the word of God, the word of fear will never have a root in your life and destiny. What you don’t believe you don’t become and to get over what you don’t believe is to establish what you believe in your declaration.

Apostle Paul, in all words spoken to him, never lost focus on his original goal. How could you receive first-class information that someone is about to make you fall and you still move in the same direction fearlessly? He used this word to stand against fear; “But none of these things move me,..” Acts 20:24. In this age of classic distraction, if you’re not focused on your primary goal, you may end up investing all your energy in others.

You cannot stand against fear if you’re not standing with the Lord. Trust in the Lord is the key to unlocking your potential. To rely on your ability is to produce, none can ever succeed trusting the arm of flesh. I have never been to a writing school, I just keep trusting in the Lord and today you and I have been blessed since the beginning of this book.
