This is a very serious question that we all have to answer as children of God, most especially the Youths. There is a need for us all to sincerely answer this question. And again I ask; who is leading your boat? Who is motivating you? Who is bankrolling your life?

Whoever is bankrolling your life will be the one in charge of your destiny, and such a person will have absolute control or say over whatever is going to happen in your life and journey of purpose. If you look around you very well, you will get a better understanding of what I am saying; many people are working and walking under the influence of alcohol; if they have not tasted alcohol they can not do anything meaningful, and this is gradually killing their health but they are so soaked into it that they can not do without taking alcohol. Another set of youths I have seen are the ones who are so married to drugs. They are so much into drugs to the extent that drugs have become influencers in their lives. They can not do without it.

Whom you allow or what you allow in your life will be what will determine your end. But, there is something that I want to show you today; all the above influencers mentioned are tools in the hand of the devil (your enemy) to destroy your God-giving purpose in life. They are weapons in the hand of your arch-enemy to short-change your destiny, he is using all these influencers to trap your life in a cage for destruction.

I need to put it to you today, if you check your life very well, you will discover that it is either the spirit of God or the spirit of the devil that is bankrolling your life (that is, influencing your attitude and character). The truth is, you know which of these two you have to surrender your life to, and whichever one you give the key to your life will be the one controlling and influencing your desires and destiny.

Judas Iscariot was one of the closest disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ, he was the treasurer of the group; he allowed the love for money to influence him. He pushed out the Holy Spirit which is the spirit of God and he handover the control of his heart to the love of money, and he because of money betrayed his master. Mark 14vs10-11, Matthew 26vs47-57.

To be led by the Holy Spirit of God is one of the greatest privileges of being a true child of God. When you are being led or bankrolled by the Holy Spirit, you will have the power to be in control of things, you will not be controlled by things. Power is your birthright as a child of God. Acts 1vs8. When you allow the Holy Spirit to be in charge of your life, if he is the one dictating your movement that is when you can truly survive in this world by fulfilling your purpose in life.

If you are not carrying the power of the Holy Ghost, you are spiritually fatherless; in the world and in this generation, there are a lot of spiritual orphans. Jesus knew the necessity of the Holy Ghost and being led by the Holy Ghost. Acts 10vs28. Your destiny cannot shine without Holy Spirit (Power) being in control of your life. Holy Spirit through which you get the power to do exploits in life is a necessity, not a luxury. Daniel 11vs32, 2 Samuel 22vs33.

The book of Colossians 2vs10 says “And we are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power”. The truth is, your life is not complete if the Holy Spirit is missing in your life.  You can only achieve true purpose in life if you allow the Holy Spirit who gives you the power to do all things to be in charge of your life. Philippians 4vs13.

CONDITIONS TO BE BANKROLLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT

The First thing is to have relationships with God. John 3vs1-3.

The power of God belongs to his children. It is until when you build a solid relationship with God that you can have the opportunity to access the power that is flowing from his throne. When you commit yourself to God, he will in turn commit himself to you.  Allowing the Holy Spirit to bankroll your life is an act of accessing the kingdom of God which is full of power. John 1vs11-13. Power to fulfill the purpose and to succeed in the journey of destiny.

The second thing is that you must be available.

The availability here has to do with your heart. This is because many so-called children of God are physically available but are so busy in their hearts to be attentive to God. Many are still behaving like a goat instead of a sheep. Psalm 23vs1-3. It is until you make yourself available in your heart as sheep that God can lead you into the greener pastures of life; that is when your want can be met.

God who is the shepherd will only lead a sheep, not a goat because the heart of a sheep is ever ready to be led. To enjoy the best of God and to be restored to your rightful place as youths, you have to make yourself available to God both physically and in your heart.

The third thing is that your obedience is needed.

One of the things that destroyed King Saul was disobedience. God gave him instructions through Prophet Samuel but he chose to do otherwise because he thought he is the king and because of his disobedience, the throne was taken from him. 1 Samuel 15vs21-24, Psalm 40vs6-8.

Disobedience will make God hide his eyes from you. Isaiah 1vs11-15. Obedience is better than sacrifice. You can engage in charity and giving; if you are doing all these and continue to disobey God, they become an unacceptable sacrifice before God. Your complete obedience is needed if you want God to be bankrolling you.

The fourth thing is that your Faith is needed. 2 Corinthians 5vs7.

The Bible says “Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”. Hebrews 11vs1. Also in verse six of the same Chapter, it says “But without faith it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him”.

For you to have the infilling and be led by the Holy Spirit, you need faith. To achieve your purpose and destiny in life, you must be willing to exercise faith; this is because nothing good happens without faith. You need to believe and have faith in God and strongly have faith in yourself that you are not ordinary and you are not meant to be an ordinary being.

Conclusion: Holy Spirit will not lead you against the word of God because Holy Spirit is God Himself, and he will never ask you to go against His Words. John 1vs1, 2 Peter 1vs20-21. You must understand that Holy Spirit will never lead you against His nature; one of the natures of the Holy Spirit is he can never lie. Galatians 5vs17-24.

You have to stop living on assumptions as a child of God. The assumption is the lowest level of information; you have to be sure for yourself that you belong to the camp of God because the camp to whom you belong will be the one that will be bankrolling your life. You have to be sure that you are in the camp of God for you to enjoy the fullness of God’s blessings.

If you know you are not yet in the camp of God, the opportunity to come in is still open, all you need to do is to open up your heart for him to come in and dwell with you; you just have to surrender the control of your heart to the Holy Spirit to take charge and you will see your life shining brighter and brighter day by day. Jesus loves you.
