WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?

HE IS THE STRENGTHNER. Ephesians 5vs18.

The Holy Spirit is the power that sustains, energizes, and keeps you on a holy path. He is the one who strengthens you to do good works.

HE IS OUR HELPER. John 16vs7: The Holy Spirit is the one that helps and empowers believers to live a flourishing life that radiates the goodness of God. Holy Spirit will help you to be who God created you to be.

HE IS A SANCTIFIYER. 1 Corinthians 6vs11: Holy Spirit set you apart as sacred unto God. He purifies you by washing away your sins and builds you into spiritual maturity to become more like Christ.

The purification process is a daily process; you must leave behind your old ways of life and become a new person. The Holy Spirit is the only person who can help you in this sanctification process; He helps you to die to your old self and be all that God created you to be.

HE IS A GUARDIAN. 1 John 2vs27: Holy Spirit has access to all the wisdom and knowledge of God, when you embrace him, He will lead you continually into the truth. Holy Spirit is the editing machine inside of you, He never gets confused or offers wrong information; but the truth is, if you want to know the Holy Spirit’s guidance, you must learn to discern His voice and His nudging.

HE IS A UNITER: The Holy Spirit is the one that unites you to God, He helps you in fellowship with God, and He brings you into partnership with God. The Holy Spirit is the supernatural grace that causes believers to love God and to love one another deeply. The Holy Spirit binds us together with God.

HE IS AN INTERCESSOR. Romans 8vs26: I have seen people saying Holy Mary, mother of Jesus pray for us, I have heard people calling the names of angels to intercede for them; but the truth is, the Holy Spirit is the only intercessor that we have.

Only the Holy Spirit can intercede between us believers and God. Mary and the saints were human, they died, and you cannot talk to dead people and expect your prayers to be answered.

HE IS A COMFORTER. John 14vs15-16, John 16vs7: That you are a child of God does not mean you will not face troubled moments or situations, and that you are a believer does not mean there will not be a time your heart will not be troubled; but the truth is, the Holy Spirit is there to comfort you all the time because He is the true Comforter that came from the Father. John 16vs33.

CONCLUSION: The Holy Spirit is a beautiful and powerful part of who God is. You need Him in your life as a conduit to become who God created you to be, and through His power, you have aid in all situations. Without Him, you are powerless as a child of God.

If you are not sure you are saved or not, if you truly want to be born again and have the assurance of salvation, you need to receive the Holy Spirit and feel His presence which brings peace to your life. A peace that surpasses all understanding, and get your one-way passport to God.
