It is very important for you, as a child of God, to understand that life is in a season: it is crucial that you know and understand the time and seasons in life, just like the sons of Issachar. 1 Chronicles 12vs32 “And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do, the heads of them were two hundred, and all their brethren were at their commandment”.
As a Christian youth, you need to have and operate in spiritual discernment, not just calendar awareness. This enables you to read and discern God’s movements in history, politics, and covenant seasons in your environment and in your life. The children of Issachar not only understand seasons, but they also operate in wisdom, which means understanding seasons is incomplete without wise actions.
When you understand time and seasons just like the sons of Issachar, you will be influential, and things will not be happening to you unaware; you will have the capacity to work and walk in divine direction and not in confusion. Your operation in life will be in clarity of purpose; you will not be an accidental actor in life. Daniel 1vs7.
Another thing is that, when others are panicking, when they have been activated into a panic mood, you will be at the stage of giving counsel to them; this is because the Bible says sons of Issachar know what to do, when to do it, and how to do it; they became counselors for the people of God (Israel).
With this understanding, you also need to know that there are different timings and seasons in life. There is what is called God’s ordained seasons, which we can also refer to as Divine Timing in life. Daniel 2vs21, Acts 1vs7. When it is your divine timing, nobody on earth can change it. This type of season is not accidental; it is divinely ordained.
The season of waiting and preparation is another season in life that you must understand. This season is to teach you that delay does not mean denial; it often means preparation. Psalm 27vs14, Lamentation 3vs31-33. This season is to refine your heart and your attitude towards God, people, and issues of life, and not to destroy you.
Ecclesiastes 3vs4 says “A time to weep, and a time to laugh, a time to mourn, and a time to dance”. This verse of the Bible also shows us another season. Season of Testing, Pruning, and Refinement. This season is painful, but it is very necessary for your spiritual maturity as a child of God; this is because the pruning season precedes greater fruitfulness in life. John 15vs2, 1 Peter 1vs6-7.
It is expected of you, as a youth who is also a child of God, to grow. This brings us to another season called seasons of Growth and Fruitfulness. Psalm 1vs3 says you shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season. Fruit comes in its season and not before its season; you have been ordained to shine and reign in your season, but the concern is, you must be able to understand time and season, just like the sons of Issachar. Galatians 6vs9. You need to know that growth is progressive, and every stage matters. Mark 4vs28
