It is true that everybody wants to experience new dawn. As a nature of man, nobody wants to remain in a spot forever; there is this thing in every man that always propels man to want to move forward in life.

The truth is, even those who do not believe in you also want to experience new dawn; those who had one time or the other said nothing good can start with you still have that reservation at one corner of their heart to see and experience your new beginning. The Lord on whose hand the King learned in the book of 2 Kings 7vs1-20 went ahead to see and partook in the experience of a new dawn that Elisha the Prophet had declared a day before; even with his unbelief, because he had said if the Lord would make windows in heaven, may this thing be, but in his unbelief, he also wanted to see, touch and experience the new dawn.

When a new dawn occurs, there will always be a change either positively or negatively; but you will be the one to determine whether you want the positive side or the negative side. The man in the Bible passage above chooses to stay on the negative side of the new dawn that occurred in Samaria. The change that is going to happen in your life, you are the one that will dictate whether it’s going to be for your good or otherwise.

Whether the New Dawn is going to last, depends on your disposition as an individual. 1 Samuel 16vs1-13. When you study the life of the children of Israel very well, you will discover that King Saul was the New dawn that occurred when it comes to the Kingship role in Israel but King Saul as a person did not appreciate that role with all his disobedience attitudes to God and he was replaced by David who was very small to him. You need to understand that your disposition as a person will determine if you are going to experience the new dawn or not.

Whenever a new dawn is coming, you must be prepared for it. A New Dawn can be personal (1 Chronicles 4vs9-10) or collective (2 Kings 7vs3-18) but your preparation is another thing that will determine whether you will enjoy it or whether your new dawn will last. As a youth, you must always put yourself in a position to always experience and enjoy the new dawn. You can achieve this by getting all the necessary certifications in your field of study or chosen career/profession. When you ensure that you have all that it takes that will give you an edge above all others.

You must learn how to change strategies. You need to be able to adapt to new things; you must learn new things all the time. Put yourself in a position to learn new ways of doing things. Stop saying this is the way they have been doing it and it must continue that way. Learn to accept new innovations and learn to be better at all times. Change strategies if you must experience a new dawn.

Risks taking are part of the factors that can help you experience a new dawn. The four leprous men in our anchor Bible passage took the risk of entering into the camp of the Syrians. They made that determination to forge ahead without thinking they may lose their lives. 2 Kings 7vs3-8. If you are not ready to take risks as a youth and as a child of God, it means you are not ready to experience a new dawn; because you have to move from the known to the unknown if you must experience a new dawn. Genesis 12vs1-4.

Father Abraham did not experience the new beginning (A New Dawn) not until he took the risk of leaving the known to the unknown. Mummy Ruth did not experience New Dawn after all that had happened to her not until she took the risk of leaving the known by following her Mother-in-law to her country which is the unknown. Ruth 1vs1-22, Ruth 2vs1-10, Ruth 4vs10-17. Risk-taking qualifies you for ‘A New Dawn’.

Another quality that can birth or give room for your New Dawn is openness. The four leprous men were opened; they ran to the city to inform the King about their new experience. If you must enjoy your new dawn to the fullness, you must be open and be truthful in all your dealings. 2 Kings 7vs9-11.

Let your life also impact others. Whatever God has blessed you with is not only for you alone; God gave you that knowledge, skills, money, position, etc. in order to make the world a better place for others to live. Should the lepers decided not have gone to inform them in the city, the promise of God through the Prophet would not have come to pass; The truth is, there are many destinies that God has hanged on your destiny since creation, and those destinies can only shine when you choose to impact them positively with what God had placed in your hand.

If you are the only rich or wealthy person in your community without seeing to it to help others to rise, those people you choose not to help will not allow you to enjoy your riches with their demands, to experience new dawn is to be impactful and touch lives positively. There is no true joy when you have and others do not have. 2 Kings 7vs8-9.

A New Dawn will come when you take a step. God will only support you when he sees that you have the mind and heart to move forward. He will only throw blessings and victory to you when he sees that you are taking the move. 2 Kings 7vs5-8.  You cannot fold your arms and be expecting the miracles, you have to put your faith in God into action and that is when the sun of a New Dawn can shine and smile on you.

HOW TO MAINTAIN THE EXPERIENCE OF A NEW DAWN

  • Learn how to say thank you. Psalms 92vs1-3, Psalms 101vs1. One of the things that is relegating the youth of this generation backward is ingratitude; many youths do not know how to say thank you to God and to fellow human beings. They believe whatever they have achieved is by their power and knowledge, and they have forgotten God that gave them the power and knowledge. They have forgotten the people that God used for them when they were nobody.

Whenever you say thank you for little things, you will begin to receive big things. Your being appreciative will activate God and man to do more good for you. You must learn how to appreciate everything or anything given to you.

  • You must learn how to say sorry. 2 Corinthians 7vs8-10. When you know how to say sorry, tension will die down. You must always come down from your high mountain to admit your mistakes or errors because when you say sorry by admitting your mistakes, people will begin to respect you. If you know how to say sorry to human beings, you will know how to say you are sorry to God. When you know how to say sorry to God, things will begin to change in your life positively.

Your sorry must be the one that produces true repentance. There is no need of saying sorry when you truly know that you are not. Saying you are sorry when you make mistakes will not bring you low or depreciate your personality but a truthful sorry from a repentant heart brings and gives honor.

  • Learn how to appreciate people. Luke 19vs17, Proverbs 27vs18b. The master of the servant in the book of Luke above saw the effort of the servant and appreciated it, which was why he could place him over many cities. It is only the person that knows how to appreciate fellow human beings that can stay at the top.

Do not put people under you into modern slavery; give them what they are due for and pay them as at when due. Do not frustrate their labor, celebrate them from time to time, and stop dehumanizing them. As you are climbing the ladder to the top, always check and appreciate people at the bottom of the ladder because you may have cause to need their assistance tomorrow, when you honor men, God will honor you.

  • Learn how to pray at all times. 1 Thessalonians 5vs17. There are visible and invisible forces that do not want you to experience a New Dawn as a child of God, and the only weapon that you have to face and overcome them is by going on your kneels in prayers. Daniel 6vs1-28.

Prayer is a great weapon of warfare that you have as a child of God. 2 Corinthians 10vs4. With prayer, you can open or close a door. Prayer is a master key that can permanently open the door of A New Dawn for you. Revelations 3vs7. You need to pray because your adversaries are not relenting.

  • Learn to be on the Lord’s side always. Exodus 32vs26. It is only when you are on the Lord’s side that He can activate all that you have received in order for you to start enjoying it to fullness. You must be on the Lord’s side before you can enjoy a new dawn. 1 King 18vs1-40.

Conclusion: Do you know that the greatest New Dawn a man can experience is the New Dawn of Salvation? The New Dawn that gives joy mostly in the heart of God is when a man surrenders his or her life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. The greatest achievement you can achieve in this world is for you to achieve Jesus Christ.
