Esther 4:16 “……and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”

Desperate dimensions of prayer will result in favorable manifestations. I realize in the entire scripture, all those who said; ‘if I perish, I perish’ came forth gloriously alive. If you understand the principle of possibility, there is nothing that will appear impossible before you.

I cannot imagine Queen Esther committing her life to her hands! Folks, life is not willing to grant us access to our rights until we are determined to confront it with ‘if I perish, I perish’. You are still saying I cannot stay awake at night to pray all through the night? Remember sleep is sweet and good but it is the number one enemy of our destiny.

A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—then poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.”  Prov. 6:10-11 NLT

People who sleep less achieve more and those who sleep more achieve nothing after all. Create a godly mentality towards your responsibilities.

We should settle our responsibilities on the altar of our prayer first before confronting it. But it surprises me that we always rush to confront our daily and future responsibilities without proper preparation in the place of prayer.

The word “if I perish I perish” was born from a mindset, I shall pray and also fast alongside. I want to tell you that, if we hand over all our conversations to God on the altar of prayer before our scheduled conversation with our colleagues, the head of the department, CEO even members of our family. It is certain that the Almighty God will grant a positive response to your request.

Do you remember the threat that the king of Assyria (Sennacherib) sent to Hezekiah? Hezekiah was perplexed and troubled. God was not moved with his negative attitude because we are the first class citizens of our Father’s palace, we are not expected to move whenever noncitizens threaten to confront us.

When I went to Seychelles, I never had the same rights as the citizens of the land. Although I could move around, I was unable to seek employment. Why? I had no document to prove as a member of their palace.

Since I am a noncitizen, I will never be granted any opportunity to defeat any of their citizens in case I am confronted with any kind of misunderstanding. Their citizens will always find refuge. Though we dwell in the same place, the difference is we are not governed by the same law and protection.

Hezekiah stated his need for God through the altar of prayers because he finally discovered his legal right in His Father's Palace.

2 Kings 19:15-20 says

15 And Hezekiah prayed before the Lord, and said, O Lord God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou hast made heaven and earth.

16 Lord, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, Lord, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.

17 Of a truth, Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,

18 And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

19 Now therefore, O Lord our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the Lord God, even thou only.

20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard…….

35 And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the Lord went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

36 So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

37 And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esar-haddon his son reigned in his stead. KJV

I cannot over-emphasize on prayers, when we don’t pray we will become a prey in the hands of noncitizens of our Father’s Palace. The true purpose of Esther didn’t come to light until she prayed. It tells us there are several palace citizens living below the standard stated for them by our Father (God).

You can enjoy and express your citizenship right wherever He plants you as far as Heaven and Earth remain. Just as God spoke to the children of Israel through the prophet Amos

“And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.” Amos 9:15
