Everyone is one way or the other making an exchange. The truth is, either by omission or by commission, you and I are involved in one exchange act daily. The exchange can be spiritual or physical, and it can be substantial or non-substantial, but the reality is, that you are making an exchange daily.
Exchange is when you have ownership or possession or control over something and you give it up, and because of that, you receive something back. For instance, Esau gave up his birthright to receive a red pottage from his brother Jacob. Genesis 25vs29-34.
Exchange can also mean resigning or the act of giving up one something for another. Jesus Christ our Lord left (gave up) his throne and came to this world to die in our place. John 3vs16.
But, the exchange in this context means reconciliation. Romans 5vs10-11. Jesus Christ died on the cross of Calvary to buy (reconcile) you back to God. 2 Corinthians 4vs10-11, Romans 8vs32. Through this reconciliation, Jesus saved man from God’s wrath through his blood. 2 Corinthians 5vs18-19.
You need to know that if you have not surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, you are still living in a strange kingdom; when you give your life to him (Jesus Christ) that is when the price he paid with his blood on the cross can work for you, that is when you can fully enjoy all the benefits of God’s Kingdom. 1 Corinthians 7vs23, 1 Peter 1vs19-19.
For you who is a child of God, you that you have been bought with a price; Jesus has given you the work to introduce people to this exchange platform. Acts 26vs16-18, Isaiah 61vs1-3. You have been commissioned with the responsibility of introducing people to the new love you found in Christ Jesus.2 Corinthians 5vs18. And this assignment of reconciliation can be achieved through your service and dedication in God’s presence. When you give yourself to the act of service unto God, not only will you be able to carry out this assignment, but there are also some benefits to enjoy freely. The benefits are as follows:
Authority. Luke 10vs19. Because you are carrying out the assignment of the master Jesus, because you are involved in the mandate of heaven, you will be enjoying divine authority over everything that God has created and those things he has also given grace to man to create. You will have authority over the kingdom of darkness. Mark 16vs18.
Dominion over your flesh. 1 Peter 4vs2. You will have control over your flesh; the desire of the flesh will not overtake you again all because you are lost into the service of God by reconciling men unto his kingdom. When you are involved in this assignment of reconciliation, the desire of God will be what will be so important to you. 2 Corinthians 5vs15, John 1vs13.
