JOHN 1:1-5 (KJV)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made.

In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

INTEGRITY (definition)

- The quality of being honest and having strong moral principles

- The state of being whole and undivided

- Having integrity means that you live in accordance with your deepest values, you're honest with everyone, and you always keep your word. Integrity is a highly valued trait, especially in leaders. When you live with integrity, you're more likely to be considered for important promotions and leadership positions.

THE WORD OF GOD - Simply put, a divine message.

HAVING THIS UNDERSTANDING

No word of any man, (preacher or scholar, erudite and highly respected among us) is superior to the Ageless, timeless spoken, Written or Revealed Word of God, because 'that' same Word is (Kept jealously unchanged throughout ages) with God and God cannot dissociate Himself from His living Word. John 1:1

The WORD OF GOD has no manufacturing date, it is impossible for God's Word to fail or expire. Lean on the staff of Words of God, by believing in and heeding them.

GOD’S WORDS are Life to those who find them, because it abides when words of men fade Therefore, quote them, ponder on them, meditate on the Word of God, recall and repeat them consistently before your family, and everywhere.

Beloved, No human word can match God's eternal Word, and NO human utterance(s), no matter how logical and reasonable it sounds, no matter how soothing its rhymes, and excellent its articulation, can be substituted for God's Word.

The promises of God are never subject to our particular situations in life; our situation is subject to the promises of God. I want to encourage you to not take the words in the scriptures lightly. When we read our Bibles we need to do so in light of the integrity of His Word.

THERE ARE SEVERAL PRINCIPLES TO REMEMBER

  • First, God cannot lie. Hebrews 6:18 says, “That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie.”
  • Second, God and His word are one. This key is found in the first verse of John: “In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the Word was God.”
  • Third, God’s word is above His name. Psalm 138:2 says, “For thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” The reliability of your word determines your name. Your name does not determine your word.
  • Fourth, God does not promise something unless He intends for it to happen.
  • Fifth, All of God’s promises are for us. II Corinthians 1:20 says, “All the promises of God in him are yea and Amen.” I believe that God means what He says and says what He means!”

THINGS WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND CONCERNING GOD AND HIS PROMISES

  • First, they are activated by our faith in God. If no one is believing no one will be receiving. Romans 10:17, 2 Corinthians 4:13, Luke 18:6-8
  • Next, the potential of what God will do is limited only by man, not by God. Many times we are waiting for Him to do everything and God is waiting for us to believe His word! The promise is always bigger than our circumstances. Numbers 23:9
  • Finally, our confession must be based on God’s word. That is the vehicle that can bring God’s power into operation. Be encouraged to believe His promises to you! It can be the difference between success and failure. Romans 4:17, Philippians 4:13, 2 Timothy 2:12.
